The trend in buying out Bundesliga players for the Premier League continues.
Liverpool are looking for a replacement for outgoing central midfielder Wijnaldum.
And it seems they have found one. Twenty-four-year-old Florian Neuhaus is heading to The Reds.

Georginio Wijnaldum will leave Liverpool at the end of his contract this year.
He joined Liverpool in 2016 from Newcastle for a fee of £23 million.
With Liverpool, he managed to win the Premier League, Super Cup, Club World Cup and Champions League.
He scored 16 goals in 178 games. But now he’s headed for Paris.

Liverpool are not idle and are looking hard for a replacement. Jürgen Klopp has scouted the German midfielder, joining Bayern Munich, who are also interested in Neuhaus.

However, Bayern have signed Leipzig central defender Dayot Upamecan, agreeing a €42 million deal with Leipzig and it seems they are not going to pay such a large sum for another player this summer. Neuhaus has a €40 million buyout clause in his contract.

However, early last week reports started circulating that Neuhaus had already signed for Bayern, whereupon the player himself denied the misleading reports.

“I haven’t signed anywhere except Borussia Mönchengladbach. I feel very good there at the moment,” he said in an interview with Manuel Bonk of TZ.

The Reds will be monitoring the 24-year-old central midfielder at the ongoing tournament, where the player is training with the German team.

Neuhaus is a steady member of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s starting lineup and can play multiple positions. He can cover the number six position when needed, but his primary position is number eight.

As such, he could fit into coach Klopp’s system, who is not afraid to put players out of position. Neuhaus could thus be a great all-rounder for Klopp’s team.
