Is there a new signing for Sparta Prague? The renowned Transfermarkt server reports on the possible arrival of forward Samuel Adeniran, who plays for St. Louis City. The 24-year-old American regularly shows that he can score goals.

It seemed that Sparta’s squad for the 2023/24 season is already closed. We haven’t seen any manoeuvres in the last few days or weeks. Now, however, it is possible that they will bring in an interesting striker.

Transfermarkt server reports that Sparta is one of the interested parties for the almost two meters tall striker Samuel Adeniran, who scores goals for St. Louis City in MLS.

The 24-year-old American with Nigerian roots has also attracted the interest of Rapid Vienna, Rosenborg and Ingolstadt and nowhere is it written that there are currently closer negotiations with Sparta, only that they are interested in him.

Adeniran spent part of the season on loan at San Antonio, where he played seven games and scored four times. But then his parent club pulled him back due to an injury to the striker.

Transfermarkt also explains the reasons why European teams are actually interested in the striker. Despite his height, he is said to be mobile and has no problem finishing with both feet.

Currently, however, Sparta have quite a number of strikers in their squad. Václav Sejk replaces Jan Kuchta in the centre of the attack, Victor Olatunji and Martin Minchev are also alternatives, but they are more on the fringes.

In the reserves, the goal scorer Tomáš Schánělec is waiting for a chance. So the question is whether Sparta will eventually bring this player in and if so, who will take it and pack their bags.
