Bayern Munich are starting to change their transfer policy. It is increasingly looking around the world for young talented players to make stars out of. In order to be as successful as possible in this respect, it has decided to take an interesting step. He lured a big signing from Dortmund to Bavaria.

Borussia Dortmund is famous for scouting and nurturing talent. Especially in recent years, the Westphalian club has managed to acquire many interesting players. Whether it was Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham or Erling Haaland.

Behind the acquisition of all the names mentioned was Markus Pilawa, Dortmund’s chief scout, who has been at the club since 2012 and has been the head of Borussia’s scouting department since 2017. Only now, he will apparently be moving to Munich.

the 44-year-old talent scout has been linked with a return to Bochum. There was also speculation that he could go to Hertha Berlin to build a new squad. However, he will leave for Bayern instead.

Pilawa is said to have had strained relations with Borussia’s management, which should have hastened his end at the club. Moreover, Munich respected him and really wanted him, so there wasn’t much to deal with.

It’s a big win for Bayern, quite the opposite for Dortmund. Borussia fans are understandably angry. It’s not as if the Westphalian outfit can’t be expected to be able to scout talent out of the blue, but it will probably affect transfers over time.

Munich are increasingly signing young players for whom they are not afraid to spend bigger sums of money. For example, now in the summer Bayern signed 17-year-old Mathys Tel for almost 30 million euros.
