Up to eleven players could leave Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window. One of the reasons is a precautionary measure with regard to the financial fair play rule, as the Stamford Bridge club spent more than one billion pounds on new signings last year.

A big sell-off – that’s very likely what Chelsea will face in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Stamford Bridge club spent over one billion pounds on new players last year.

And in order to meet the financial fair play rules on profit and sustainability, it needs to bring important funds into the club’s coffers. This is to ensure the departure of eleven players.

One of the most noticeable losses will be the departure of Conor Gallagher, who has been linked with a transfer for some time. The 24-year-old Chelsea offspring is under contract with the club until the end of June next year, with a market value of €48 million , according to reputable website Transfermarkt.

According to the latest reports, Tottenham are very interested in him. Next on the list is Trevoh Chalobah, who is also a Chelsea academy graduate.

The English club has then loaned out three other young talents who have come through its academy. One of them is Ian Maatsen, who is on loan at Dortmund. He could be sold permanently when he returns to the current ninth Premier League side.

Who else is likely to leave Chelsea?

Another talent is Armando Broja, who is interested in West Ham and is currently on loan at Fulham. The third to join the party is Lewis Hall, who is currently on loan at Newcastle.

Another star casualty could be Marc Cucurella, who has rather struggled since his arrival at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea value him at £60 million. Thiago Silva is also likely to end his four-year stay at the club, while Malang Sarr’s departure is almost certain.

According to the Sun, three other names are on the list of possible departures. Romelu Lukaku (away at AS Roma), Hakim Ziyech (away – Galatasary) and Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is currently away at Real Madrid.
