Erling Haaland has been struggling as a shooter lately and has received criticism from the famous Roy Keane. His words were noticed by coach Pep Guardiola who decided to react and mentioned that his statement was nonsensical, likening it to saying that Keane is a third division manager.

Manchester City failed to beat Arsenal at home in the 30th round of the English Premier League, but they made amends on Wednesday, beating Aston Villa 4-1. Coach Pep Guardiola let the mainstays sit out.

Both Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland were not on the pitch. Both are out of form, the latter hitting the Copenhagen net for the last time at the beginning of March.

It was for this reason that he received some well-deserved criticism, one of which came from Manchester United legend Roy Keane, who is a TV pundit as well as a coach.

“He is at his best in front of goal, but otherwise his game is at League Two level,” said the Irishman. Many agreed with his opinion, but most were against it. After all, Haaland is one of the best players on the planet.

Even coach Pep Guardiola disagrees with Keane’s opinion, as he values the Norwegian forward and has made it clear that he is bothered by the way some people lose their memories quickly.

“I absolutely disagree with him. It’s like saying he’s a manager for the third division. Erling is the best striker in the world and he helped us to triumph last year. Coming from a former player, I’m surprised.

From journalists I could understand it, they never played, but with players it always surprises me how quickly they lose their memory. But you have to accept it. If you don’t want to, you have to do another job,” the City coach responded.
