Jürgen Klopp has responded to a question about which Sparta player he would want at Liverpool. His words amused the football world
Jürgen Klopp arrived in Prague for the match against Sparta in good spirits. He was already entertaining the journalists before the match and it was no different afterwards. After all, he had reason to be happy. His charges won 5:1. After the match at Letná, however, he made one response that shone across the football world.

Liverpool are having an excellent season. They have recently won the Carabao Cup, reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, are basking at the top of the Premier League and are well on their way to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
It was in the Europa League that he faced Sparta Prague on Thursday. Jürgen Klopp entertained reporters upon his arrival at the press conference. Then when it came to the match, his charges entertained him for a change. Not as convincingly as he would have liked.
The Reds won 5-1 at Letná, but it can’t be said that their performance was that convincing. Sparta threw away a lot of great chances, on the contrary, they gave Liverpool some goals by individual mistakes.
The German coach himself admitted after the game that the result was much more favourable than his charges’ performance. However, this did not spoil his good mood. At the post-match press conference, Jürgen Klopp was once again beaming and spreading joy.
Jürgen Klopp entertained at the post-match press conference
While the Czech public focused primarily on Sparta’s performance and result, the world public was interested in the German coach’s comments at the press conference. The reason was simple. Jürgen Klopp is retiring from Anfield in the summer and will take a break, quite possibly the end of his career.
What’s next is unclear, although there is speculation that the German coach could make an appearance at this year’s Euros. However, the question of which Sparta player the Liverpool manager would like in his team and who has caught his eye sounded all the more interesting at the press conference.
The answer? “I’m finished in the summer. Do you want me to take him on holiday with me?” Jürgen Klopp asked.
The German strategist’s words immediately made the rounds on social media and the world’s football-focused media. The former Dortmund coach could not have given a better answer.
