Among combat sports fans, the question of which organization is the best in the world is often debated. Now all debates are over.
The UFC and Bellator still rule the martial arts world. Asia is ruled by ONE FC and the Russian ACA. In Europe, the Polish KSW and the Czech Oktagon are fighting for the throne.
The Fight Matrix website, which otherwise specializes in world rankings of fighters, has started to compile the rankings of each organization.
The big comparison of the world’s MMA organizations
Fight Matrix has put together rankings for eight organizations, using four criteria. The most important one is the average ranking of all the organization’s fighters in the world rankings.
Unsurprisingly, the UFC is at the top. It boasts no fewer than 645 fighters in the rankings. That’s an absolutely unbeatable number. ACA has the second highest number of ranked fighters (314), followed by Bellator (174), PFL (136), LFA (130), ONE FC (121), Oktagon (115) and KSW (104).
But the most telling number that speaks to quality is the average ranking of all fighters. This is where the rankings look a little different again. The UFC, whose fighters are ranked 95th on average, is of course in the lead.
Bellator has the second best average (134th), followed by PFL (159th), ONE FC (201st), KSW (208th), ACA (220th), Octagon (250th) and LFA (270th).
These numbers are certainly no disgrace.
