Boston extended its point streak to seven games in a row
He never ceases to amaze the hockey world. Last night he scored his first hat trick of the season, but he became the king of Czech hat tricks. Even the legendary Jaromir Jagr is looking at his back in this statistic.
In the Boston Bruins vs. Colorado Avalanche game at the TD Garden in Boston, nearly 18,000 spectators watched another ride of their favourite team. David Pastrnak was a major contributor to the victory and was clearly the star of the night.
Boston entered the game on a high note. David Pastrňák scored after 44 seconds of the game, taking advantage of Charlie Coyle’s amazing work and opening the scoring with a quick shot from the turn. Once again, the amazing cooperation with the 31-year-old American worked.
Jakub Lauko, 23, made his first appearance this season. At the end of the fifth minute, he put the puck in the open net and sent Boston into a two-goal lead. The visitors reduced the deficit in the eighth minute thanks to Miles Wood.

But the Czech night was boosted by Pavel Zacha, who assisted on the Bruins’ third goal and gave the home team a two-goal advantage. In the second period, the crowd saw only one goal. For the tenth game in a row, Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon took advantage of a jam in front of the home team’s net to cut the deficit to a single goal.
The game was decided by the end of the game, however, with the Czech star reigning supreme. “Pasta” first took advantage of a smart pass from Jake DeBrusk on the power play. Then, at the very end, he scored an empty net shot to win 5:2.
Colorado doesn’t have to feel too bad about the loss, because just like Boston, they shouldn’t miss the playoffs. It was the 16th hat trick for the Czech cannon player in the NHL regular season, making him the top Czech player in this statistic. He passed the legendary Jaromir Jagr, who recorded 15 hat-tricks.
