Now that was a truly bizarre goal. Twenty-four-year-old Philadelphia Flyers forward Morgan Frost sent his team into the lead in a way that he himself was surprised to see. It was not enough to win, however, as the Predators defeated the team from Pennsylvania 4:2.

Sometimes in hockey, a goal is scored that is hotly debated by fans on social media for days afterwards. Most of the time it is a key or decisive goal or a completely “inhuman” act in the positive sense of the word, which Connor McDavid is a specialist in.

However, in the game between Philadelphia and Nashville, there was a goal that falls into the category of bizarre goals. The 24-year-old Flyers forward opened the scoring in a way we haven’t seen in a long time.

Morgan Frost was fighting for the puck with defenseman Alexander Carrier behind the Nashville net when the puck bounced towards the net with the help of Frost’s stick. The puck then hit the back of goalie Juuse Saros in the air and bounced right into the net.

You can watch the whole action in the video below. Frost scored after just one minute and thirty-one seconds of play. From the look on his face, he was simply surprised that the puck ended up in the net.

Frost scored, but the Flyers fell to Nashville

At the same time, Frost scored only his fourth goal in the current NHL season. His goal was not enough to give the Flyers the victory.

In the middle part of the game, Cole Smith tied the game after just one minute of shorthanded play. The Flyers responded about three minutes later with another goal from a power play goal by Sean Couturier. But less than 40 seconds later, Nashville tied the game again.

Phillip Tomasino scored to make it 2-2. The same player then scored in the third period, four minutes before the end of the third period.

Gustav Nyquist sealed the Predators’ victory one second before the final buzzer. He scored a successful shot into the open Flyers net.
