Anže Kopitar scored his 400th NHL goal, which marked a victory for his team

Slovenian hockey player and Los Angeles captain Anže Kopitar scored 2 points on a goal and an assist as the Kings defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 1 – 4 in an away win.

It was goal number 400. This made him the 108th player in history to reach that mark. Only Dave Taylor (431), Marcel Dionne (550) and Luc Robitaille (557) are ahead of him in club history.

The Kings’ captain and most likely future first Slovenian in the NHL Hall of Fame continues to hold the standard of one point per game in his 18th season. Currently 12 games and 13 points (7+6).

He recently broke Dustin Brown’s club record for most games played for the organization. And with certainty by the end of this year, he’ll move into second place in club productivity, held by Hall of Fame member and legendary left winger Luc Robitaille with 1,154 points.

He was instrumental in winning 2 Stanley Cups in 2012 and 2014, when he was always one of the team leaders. Although the Conn Smythe Trophy for the best player of the playoffs was taken by his teammates Justin Williams and goaltender Jonathan Quick.
