Devin Booker and Paolo Banchero voted the best players of the fifth week of the 2023/24 NBA season

The Western Conference was dominated by Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, who led his team to 4 wins. Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic also managed to help his team to four wins in the Eastern Conference.

In the Western Conference, Booker was the best

Devin Booker averaged 30.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.3, assists per game in the period under review. His most successful game was at Memphis in the new NBA Tournament, when he scored 40 points on 15/21 shooting from the field (71.4%).

Phoenix has now won 7 games in a row, all games that already featured Booker, who returned from injury. Booker is the Player of the Week for the eighth time in his career. No one else on the Suns team has won this award that many times.

Next up, the Suns welcome the Toronto Raptors to their home court. Phoenix will be the clear favorite with an 11-6 record still at home. In contrast, the visiting Raptors have an 8-10 record.

Banchero ruled the Eastern Conference

The reigning Rookie of the Year so far has also led the team from Orlando to a 4 game winning streak. He averaged 23.5 points, 5.5, rebounds and 5.0 assists.

He had a good game against the Celtics, scoring 23 points on 62% shooting from the field. This is the first career award for Bancher. In addition, he is the 13th player in franchise history to win this award.

In their next game, the Magic travel to take on the weak Washington Wizards, who have lost 14 of 17 games so far. In contrast, Orlando has a 12-5 record. The favorite here is obvious.
