Unlucky for Real Madrid, Valverde missed a penalty and the White Ballet took only a point against Vallecano

Real Madrid are no longer at the top of the Spanish top flight, with only a point in the 12th round of La Liga against Rayo Vallecano. This was mainly due to missed chances, one of which was taken by Federico Valverde.

The newly renovated Santiago Bernabéu welcomed Carlo Ancelotti’s charges and the erratic Rayo. The small Madrid side is capable of troubling the long-time favourites, which it proved once again.
