Pavel Zacha became one of the Bruins’ heroes on his way to a full complement of points. Boston ended its four-game trip to the opponents’ stadiums successfully, this time beating Chicago 3-0. The Czech forward was also named the second star of the game.
Pavel Zacha became one of the Bruins’ heroes on his way to a full complement of points. Boston ended its four-game trip to the opponents’ stadiums successfully, this time beating Chicago 3-0. The Czech forward was also named the second star of the game.
David Pastrňák did not score now, nor in the game in Anaheim, but Zacha was the goal scorer.
He scored Boston’s first goal at 23:50, three minutes and fifty seconds into the second period.
No goal was scored in the opening period, so Zacha opened the scoring with his goal. In the third period, the Bruins added two more goals to record a 3:0 win. You can see Zacha’s goal below.
Zacha on hard work or a successful road trip
“Hard work is the key. You try to do the right things and you hope that it will fall into place. It was also a great shot by Shattenkirk. He saw me in front of the net, so he took a shot and hit me. It was an easy finish,” Zacha described his goal in a postgame interview.
It should be added, Boston has played four games in the opponents’ rinks and won all four. In addition to Chicago, Jim Montgomery’s men have also defeated Anaheim (3-1), Los Angeles (4-2) and San Jose (3-1).
“This is how you want a trip to the opponent’s stadium to go. Of course, great goaltending always helps, and we had great goaltending. We were great defensively tonight. That’s what you have to go on when you play at different times over the course of a few days,” explained the Bruins goalie.
Even 40 saves from Petr Mrazek were not enough for Chicago to succeed. It was Zacha’s second goal of the season and he was the second star of the game against the Blackhawks.
The Bruins maintained their 100% success rate and together with Colorado and Vegas they are the only team that managed to win all the games so far.
