Will Soucek leave West Ham London? Italian club interested in Czech midfielder

Tomáš Souček is already an integral part of West Ham’s mainstay. For David Moyes, he is one of the key figures of the team. But his time in London may be coming to an end very quickly.

Tomas Soucek has strengthened West Ham’s back line at the start of the 2020 calendar year. At first, it was a six-month loan deal. However, the Hammers stayed among England’s elite thanks to his performances and Soucek became a tribal player of the club.

The 2020/21 season was the most successful for the Havlíčkův Brod native from an individual perspective. The lanky midfielder scored ten league goals and one assist.

The following seasons were not so successful, but despite that he maintained a relatively good productivity for his position. Last season he even contributed significantly to the overall triumph in the European Conference League.

After the departure of Declan Rice, even more attention is focused on the twenty-eight-year-old midfielder. West Ham, however, have ideally managed to complete the squad and after eight rounds, they are in seventh position.

The former Slavia player is in great form. In the Premier League alone, he has been involved in three goals, scoring against Newcastle and Sheffield United. He scored a goal in the opening round against Bournemouth.

Will Soucek head to Italy?

Tomáš Souček is also very good at defensive duties. This is undoubtedly the reason why he is on the radar of Inter Milan, according to Italian website Tuttosport .

Soucek’s current contract expires at the end of the current season, but the London club has an option to extend it for another year. It would certainly be interesting to see what transfer sum the two clubs would agree on.

According to the reputable Transfermarkt, the player’s market value is around €35 million.
