If you were looking for the world’s busiest football team over the last year, your eyes would probably be on Italy, and specifically Juventus. The latter is currently having to deal with another annoyance.

The Italian giant’s troubles started during the last season when they were deducted 15 points due to falsified accounts and were handed out punishments at very high club positions, including bans.

The points were eventually reinstated after a successful appeal. However, it was the breach of the rules that the Court of Appeal was concerned with. Specifically the breach of Rule 4 – involving fair play and sporting integrity as a result of the falsification of accounts. The Court of Appeal then upheld the deduction of ten points.

TheOld Lady dropped to seventh place in the Serie A table because of this deduction, thus securing at least qualification for the European Conference League. In the end, Juventus decided to withdraw from the Conference League and relinquish their place after reaching an agreement with UEFA.

This was because, in addition to fines, point deductions and other penalties, Juventus were at risk of not being able to play in the Champions League in the 2024/25 season.

Recently, there have been reports that Leonardo Bonucci, who left the club in the summer, is planning to sue his former employer on the grounds that they have damaged his image. Cristiano Ronaldo has also decided to take legal action due to unpaid wages.

However, the troubles are far from over. Due to a positive doping test, Paul Pogba has been suspended and the club’s management is deciding what to do with him. As a result, the 30-year-old central midfielder now receives only the minimum wage, i.e. approximately two thousand euros per month.

To make matters worse, information has now surfaced that the Italian midfielder in the service of the Old Lady is under investigation for betting. We are talking about the twenty-two year old Nicolo Fagioli.

Nicolo Fagioli is now under active investigation and faces up to a three-year ban if found guilty.
