However, the former superstar kickboxer, who made the move to the MMA cage, eventually headed to the competitive PFL and already showed how valuable a commodity he let Dana White get away with during his debut.

That’s because the third event of the PFL Europe series took place on Saturday at the Arena Zénith Paris, where young European MMA hopefuls will battle it out for a place in the next season of the overseas organisation. The tournament offered many attractive battles, but the best for the fans was at the very end.

The main fight of the evening featured Cédric Doumbé, who was making his first appearance in the organization. After switching to MMA, the 31-year-old fighter featured in four fights, all of which he won before the limit.

His opponent was another welterweight debutant Jordan Zebo. The fight between the undefeated fighters promised to be one hell of a show. But what was happening in the cage was probably not what anyone expected.

In just nine seconds, the fight was over. Doumbé used his vast kickboxing experience to wait for a body kick, which he intercepted with one hand and sent his opponent into dreamland with the other.

The surprise of all the fans was only accentuated by the look on the faces of the star PSG players present. Kylian Mbappé, alongside teammates Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembélé, couldn’t believe his eyes and his surprised look immediately went viral on social media.

Doumbé thus showed what a gem he can be even after switching to MMA. “I knew I was going to knock him out,” he said immediately after the fight. “This is my specialty, I’m a kickboxer,” the French fighter added confidently.
