The NHL is about to start its new season and the preparation for it is in full swing. The Canadian-American competition offered ten games on Friday night, one of them featuring the Czechs.

The Boston Bruins have already played three games in preparation for the new season. So far, however, nothing convincing from their side.

Boston beat the New York Rangers 3:0, but then lost two games. They lost to Buffalo 1:4, and now they also lost to Philadelphia 3:4 after a shootout.

The Flyers took the lead after seven and a half minutes of play, Joel Farabee opened the scoring. But then five minutes later, Pastrnak scored for the Czech Republic. He scored on a power play, assisted by Pavel Zacha and Charlie McAvoy.

However, the visitors also used their power play at 17:27 when Ryan Poehling was on the end of a goal.

But Boston was able to tie the game again, again thanks to Pastrnak. The Flyers’ goaltender had the puck in his face and made no mistake. You can see both of his goals in the video below.

Pastrnak’s two goals weren’t enough to win the game

It was the first Bruins game where the Czechs also made a significant impact. Unfortunately for Boston, it wasn’t enough for any points. After regulation time, the score was 3:3 after goals by Heinen and Brink, but no goal was scored in overtime.

The game had to go to a shootout, but Pastrňák did not convert his attempt. Brink and Frost scored for the Flyers to give their team a narrow 4:3 win.

Jakub Zbořil had an assist in the first game, while Jakub Lauko had an assist against Buffalo, but it was mainly due to two two-minute penalties.

The next game is on Monday night, this time against the Flyers. They will then play two games against Washington and one game against the Rangers.
