La Liga boss: Mbappé will play 70-80% in Spain next year

Kylian Mbappé and his (non-)transfer to Real Madrid is an annual affair. Even people who have nothing to do with either club get involved in the arrival of the French footballer, such as La Liga boss Javier Tebas.
It’s been going on for years and still nothing happens. Kylian Mbappé is staying at PSG, even though Real Madrid try to lure him over every summer.
Now it looked like everything was on track. In fact, Mbappé’s contract expires next year and he sent a message to the management at the beginning of the summer that he won’t renew his contract and will leave next year.
Of course, the management of the Parisian club didn’t like that, so they gave Mbappe an ultimatum. Extend the contract or transfer immediately. It even left its star out of the pre-season tour and didn’t field him in the first game.
But that only ended in a draw and the management realised how much they needed Mbappé. So they took him at their mercy and the 24-year-old returned to the team. However, he remains tight-lipped about his future.
Fabrizio Romano, one of the most famous journalists in the world, has been claiming all summer that Mbappé is agreed with Real Madrid for a transfer next year and will leave for the Spanish capital for free.
And that’s what the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, thinks. He often comments on the subject of Mbappé, because after the departure of Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar or Benzema, the league needs a global superstar again.
“I don’t know if I am completely convinced that Mbappé will play in La Liga next season. But it is clearly his destiny,” Tebas told Movistar television. “I think the chances of him being here next year are more than 70 or 80%,” the La Liga boss said when asked how confident he was of Mbappé’s arrival.
