Recently, Dana White confirmed the date of the title fight for the UFC Light heavyweight championship belt. Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira will fight for it at November’s UFC 295 in New York. The Czech samurai flew to the icy Iceland, where besides perfecting his techniques, he recharges his batteries from the beautiful nature of the local landscape.
He has won over the world of martial arts not only with his first-class fighting skills. But he is also attracting the attention of a growing number of fans around the world thanks to his unique personality.
It is widely known about the Czech samurai that his personal life was significantly influenced by East Asian culture. This was fully perceived during his time in the Japanese organization Rizin, where he made an indelible mark on the hearts of the local fans.
This is also linked to his love of nature, from which he draws energy in today’s world of modern technology. A few months ago, he boasted of having climbed the highest peak in Europe, Mont Blanc.
Even now, before the announcement of his title fight, he took to the outdoors when he flew to explore the natural gems of Iceland. Here, of course, he is once again conquering the local peaks, but he also showed an unusual training process that has to do with hardening and breathing exercises.
In fact, he shared photos of his time in Iceland on his social media, which show just how unique Procházka is. In the icy weather, he was not afraid to climb under a massive waterfall, from which he tried to recharge his batteries for the next few weeks.
“Batteries fully charged, thank you Iceland,” Procházka wrote on his Instagram under the post. “Now it’s time to sharpen the blade,” he hinted that he will once again get back into full preparation for the match after the spiritual process.
He won’t slack on that during his stay in Iceland. In the local Mjolnir MMA gym, he ‘s been practicing his ground fighting techniques with UFC veteran Gunnar Nelson, who has worked with stars such as Conor McGregor.
