Six games, six goals, four of them winning. Bellingham could be the transfer of the century

Many Real Madrid fans have complained why the club has not brought in any striker after Karim Benzema’s departure. However, Jude Bellingham is answering this by scoring goal after goal.

Real Madrid have shelled out 103 million euros for Jude Bellingham. But that’s an ordinary amount these days, seeing how much players in the Premier League are transferring for. And it’s a bit of an exaggeration to say that the young Englishman has already paid off for the team.

He showed his genius in the first round. Real Madrid played on difficult ground at San Mamés, far from always bringing three points from Bilbao. But Rodrygo opened the scoring and moments later Bellingham scored with a wonderful volley from a corner kick.

A week later in Almería, Real were quickly losing the game, but Bellingham equalised in the first half. The 20-year-old midfielder then scored a second goal and also assisted Vinícius for the third.

Then came the game at Celta Vigo. Real struggled for a long time and couldn’t score, plus Rodrygo gave away a penalty in the 68th minute. Towards the end, Bellingham had to come to the rescue again, scoring the only goal of the game with a header after a corner kick.

In the first home game against Getafe, Real were down again from the 11th minute, but equalised immediately after the change of sides and were expected to turn the game around soon. But the winning goal was not to be scored. Only in the 95th minute did Bellingham score again.

Only against Real Sociedad did Bellingham not score, but he was one of the best players on the pitch. And he proved his worth again in the Champions League against Union Berlin.

In the second half, Real squeezed their opponents, hit two goals and burned more chances. But none of the shots went in. It wasn’t until the 94th minute that Bellingham pushed a Valverde shot into the net and was once again the hero.

He scored six goals in six games, four of which were game-winners, and added one assist. He is slowly becoming one of the best transfers in club history.
