It’s been more than two months since Sergio Ramos quit PSG. He didn’t renew his contract in Paris and has been a free agent ever since. Despite several offers, he is still without a team, but now he could be close to a new engagement.

16 years in a Real Madrid jersey, half of them as captain. Four Champions League titles, two European Championship wins and one World Cup. That’s Sergio Ramos, one of the best stoppers of all time.

However, age cannot be stopped and the 37-year-old defender is unlikely to get any more engagements with the European giants. He waited all summer to see if an offer would land, but it didn’t.

That’s why Ramos has put off going to the MLS for so long, where there is huge interest in him. Španělský stoper se ale cítí dostatečně fit aby zůstal mezi elitou v Evropě.

Ramos has been heavily linked with Sevilla, but the management has categorically rejected the move because the club is not in good financial shape.

Turkey is the most likely option. Galatasaray, who secured the Champions League group stage on Tuesday, are very interested in Ramos, which is an important factor for the Spanish stopper.

However, if the Turkish engagement does not work out, Ramos does not have to worry about suitors. They would love to see him somewhere other than Arabia. Al-Ittihad is offering a king’s salary, plus he would meet former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema at the club.

Although Ramos struggled with injuries in his first year at PSG and only managed 12 games, he excelled in his second, putting in great performances. This is why he doesn’t want to leave Europe just yet and wants to stay among the elite.
