Finally an interesting challenge, finally a new motivation. Patrik Kincl was looking forward to the match with Robert Bryczek, who was supposed to be his next challenger, but it was not to be. The Polish fighter is headed to the UFC, forcing the champion to think.
Since coming to the Octagon, he’s been winning. He’s beaten Samuel Kristofich, Alex Lohore and Karlos Vemola. Now Robert Bryczek was supposed to test him, but instead of a title fight in the Czechoslovakian organization, he headed to the UFC.
Patrik Kincl is understandably not happy about the current situation, but Oktagon has some options ready for him. Fans are talking a lot, for example, at the duel with Michal Materla or Rafal Haratyk.
What will happen next, we will have to wait and see. For now we have to make do with speculation, statements and waiting for official information. But the champion has a lot to think about.
Bryczek’s departure to the UFC is surprising in a way. His conqueror and Octagon champion Kaik Brito was only given a chance in Dana White’s Contender Series, despite being better ranked in the rankings, only to fail. The Pole is heading straight to the UFC.
Kincl believes Bryczek has a stronger management team behind him. After all, he was promoted a lot by the legendary Joanna Jedrzejczyk, a former UFC champion. Will we see the Czech fighter heading overseas as well?
“Of course, it played in my head whether I should start pushing there and that we would have our fight in the UFC. But as I said before, I’ve already put it aside. I think it would break up my family life a lot. Anyway, this is very fresh information. Maybe I’ll start lobbying the UFC too,” Kincl outlined the intriguing possibility in an interview with CNN Prima News.
Kincl is communicating with the UFC because of David Dvorak, whom he represents. In addition, he has been in the famed organization’s crosshairs in the past, but turned down a move overseas for a fight with Karlos Vemola.
“We let the negotiations that have taken place in the past cool down, but the door could probably still be ajar there. And I don’t know whether to rush in or not. But even the UFC might like our fight with Bryczek. He’s already a bit of a sellout and it could be interesting for Czech-Polish fans,” added the Octagon champion.
