One player after another has been coming to Saudi Arabia from Europe and logically it hasn’t escaped Al Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays. He now plays alongside Sadio Mané, Alex Telles and Marcel Brozovic.
However, the opening two league games did not go as expected, with Al Nassr falling first to Al Ettifaq and then at home to Al Taawon. They planned to fix their taste in the Asian Champions League, when Al-Ahli Dubai awaited them.
The UAE team was trailing from the 11th minute onwards, but then managed to turn the score around and Al Nassr were very worried about the result. He saved the day late on, scoring in the 88th, 90+5th and 90+7th minutes.
The final score was 4-2. However, there was an incident at half-time which was caused by two penalty kicks not being taken. The first should have been played after a clear hand by the visitors, the second after a possible foul on Ronaldo.
The Portuguese was incensed and shouted at the away bench with a gesture that perhaps they were blind not to see the penalty. Subsequently, a member of the management team wanted to take a photo with the Portuguese, but he was understandably not happy.
He pushed the Dubai member away and headed for the booths. The video understandably went viral on the internet and made especially those who don’t like Ronaldo happy.
Al Nassr’s next game is in two days’ time when they travel to Al Fateh, whose team includes the likes of Cristian Tello and Jason Denayer.
