It is only a matter of time before PSG announce the arrival of French footballer Ousmane Dembélé from Barcelona. The latter is already planning how to handle the money from the transfer.
Ousmane Dembélé will join PSG. A transfer that, although not yet official, is most likely certain. The player’s departure has been confirmed by Xavi, the Barcelona coach himself.
He expressed his sadness at his departure, as the Catalans have made every effort to make the French footballer feel happy in Barcelona and start performing again, which is why the club brought him.
“Demebélé has told us that he wants to leave and join PSG. We can’t compete with them. They made him a huge offer,” Xavi said in an interview with Tv3. I asked him the real reason for leaving. But the answer was unclear,” the Barcelona coach added
Barcelona can now plan how they will handle the €50 million and who they will invest it in.
Xavi himself confirmed that he must now bring in other players and also target the right-back position. Fabrizio Romano informed that part of the money received will go towards the transfer of João Cancela.
Barcelona, led by Xavi, were very interested in the Manchester City right-back during the January transfer window. However, the English club blocked the transfer and agreed a deal with Bayern Munich, where Cancelo spent half a year on loan.
The Portuguese defender is thus the number one priority. In case of failure, the Catalans have a backup plan in the form of Iván Fresned from Valladolid.
Since the departure of Dembélé will significantly weaken the offensive positions, Barcelona will probably have to look for an offensive reinforcement. Of course, the question is whether €50 million will be enough to cover at least two positions.
