I hope a solution will be found and Mbappé will return to us, believes PSG captain Marquinhos

Kylian Mbappé is once again the number one topic in the football world. PSG have dropped him from the squad for the tour of Japan and are forcing him to sign a new contract or leave. Marquinhos is hoping for a positive solution to the situation.
It’s slowly turning into a Mexican soap opera, only in French. Will Kylian Mbappé stay at PSG? Or will he go to Real Madrid? This is the question the whole football world has been asking for three years straight.
Now, it looks like everything is as close as it gets to leaving. Mbappé’s contract expires next year and the management has already made it clear that he will not sign a new one and would like to leave for free in the summer of 2024.
But logically, the club’s management doesn’t want to let that happen, as only a fool would let the world’s most expensive player go for free. Especially when it would make a big mess for the club in terms of financial fair-play.
So PSG have made their stance clear – either sign a new contract or transfer this summer. But Mbappé has been vocal all month about wanting to keep the final year of his contract, leading the Qatari owners to resort to coercion.
Mbappé has been ruled out of the team’s tour in Japan and must prepare with the players dropped from the squad who are waiting for new engagements. At the same time, PSG reportedly have no problem leaving their star on the bench.
The 24-year-old Frenchman is already being rebelled against by the fans, but Mbappé has found supporters after all. At the opening press conference in Japan, captain Marquinhos stood up for Mbappé.
“It’s complicated, he’s a fantastic player. But there’s more to this than the players. It’s a question for the management. But we always want the best players by our side. I hope there will be a solution so Mbappé can come back and help us next season,” Marquinhos said.
