The transfer bomb of the summer? Al Hilal has officially submitted a record bid to PSG for Kylian Mbappé

PSG have received a record €300 million bid for Kylian Mbappé from Al Hilal. Can the Saudi’s bottomless pocket attract another European superstar?

Kylian Mbappé’s future is one of the biggest transfer sagas of the past and current summer transfer window.

After the French striker decided to extend his contract with PSG until 2024 with a possible extension for another year, it would have seemed that nothing would happen this year in connection with his name. The opposite is true.

Before the start of pre-season training, Kylian Mbappé announced to his management that he does not plan to extend his contract with the club after the end of the 2023/24 season. This means only one thing. A possible departure completely for free, and the management of the French champion cannot afford that.

The striker has currently been left out of the squad for the Japanese preparatory tour and is training separately with a group of players the club is not counting on. There are two ways out of this situation. “Extend or leave,” is the clear message from the management.

The problem is that only Real Madrid or clubs from Saudi Arabia can afford to bring in a player like Kylian Mbappé.

And it is Al Hilal who has now officially submitted an offer of 300 million euros to PSG. Needless to say, this would be a record transfer fee.

In case the French footballer decides to fulfill his contract and stay in the team, PSG is ready to put him on the bench for the whole season. Indeed, the French are convinced that Mbappé has already agreed terms with Real Madrid, who would thus bring him in for free next year.

It is clear that the footballer himself is unlikely to go anywhere, because even if he does not play a single minute, he will be paid a promised bonus of around 90 million euros.

Should he sign for Real Madrid next year, there is speculation of a signing bonus of 130 million euros. At Al Hilal, however, he would earn €700 million in one year. The question now is what priorities he will set himself.
