A year ago, Jiri Prochazka conquered the world’s top
A year ago, Jiri Prochazka conquered the world’s top when he won the title of champion in the most famous MMA organization in the world. Now he’s conquered Europe’s when he climbed Europe’s highest mountain.
Jiří Procházka is known for his love of nature, which gives him the energy to achieve his goals in life. The biggest one is to regain his belt, which he had to give up before the end of last year due to a serious shoulder injury.
His place at the top of the UFC’s welterweight division has thus been taken by American fighter Jamahal Hill. However, the organization’s president Dana White promised him that as soon as he is back to full fighting condition, he will be given a straight opportunity to fight for his belt back.
So the first half of 2023 was marked by recovery from a complicated shoulder surgery. The former champion was put together by the greatest experts in the field, as he spent part of the rehabilitation process at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, USA.
According to the latest information, his shoulder is now fully healed and Jirka is back to full training. Still, we don’t know yet the exact date of his return to the cage, which makes champion Hill very nervous, who started calling for a new opponent.
Now he’s achieved the European one by climbing Europe’s highest mountain
But Walk is not worried about the American fighter’s cries and continues to focus on his physical and mental preparation. This week he chose a truly unconventional training, when he climbed the highest mountain in Europe, Mont Blanc.
“Mont Blanc – mission accomplished,” he reported on his Instagram yesterday. “Good preparation, know the weather and the route. So go, adapt and do what your mission asks of you. Victory. Same in combat. Welterweight champion.”
Will he be back at the top of the UFC’s welterweight division? Physically and mentally, Prochazka seems to be feeling great. So it is expected that sometime in the fall we could see a dream return to the cage at one of the numbered UFC tournaments.
