Almost certain trophies, or a record in the Premier League. Kane may go to the big club, but Tottenham reject offer to sell

Harry Kane and his future. A topic for every transfer window, apparently, and now is no different. The English striker has such numbers that it is downright sinful that a footballer of this calibre still has no trophy. That could change if he heads elsewhere. Harry Kane and his future. A topic for every transfer window, apparently, and now is no different. The English striker has such numbers that it is downright sinful that a footballer of this calibre still has no trophy. That could change if he heads elsewhere. Will he make a move for success this year?

Three times top scorer in the Premier League, top scorer at the 2018 World Cup, top scorer in the EURO 2020 qualifiers. At 29, he is just 47 goals away from equalling Alan Shearer’s phenomenal record and the title of top scorer in the history of England’s top league.

Harry Kane has stood at a crossroads in recent years. He wants to collect trophies, but ideally he wants to collect them in a Tottenham jersey. But that seems impossible. That’s why he keeps getting offers from all sorts of big clubs, in whose jersey he could come close to winning trophies.

In recent months, there has been speculation about interest from Manchester United in particular, but Spurs reportedly don’t want to sell him to anyone in England. And so another option is now in play. One that could make up for Kane’s years of hardship.

Bayern Munich are looking for a striker. It’s his first season without Robert Lewandowski and, for various reasons, it hasn’t been ideal. The Bavarian giant did win the Bundesliga and beat a star-studded PSG in the Champions League, but otherwise it has languished.

The absence of a world-class pure striker had an impact on the game. Kane appears to be the ideal option. He is still at a good age, his shooting ability cannot be doubted. It’s just Tottenham’s willingness to sell him and the price tag that comes with it…

According to Transfermarkt, Kane is now worth a price tag of €90 million. Bayern, however, do not like to pay similar sums. It doesn’t pay out big sums very often. This would be a record transfer for the club.

The Bavarian outfit is controversial in this regard and so even in their official bid they held back a bit. According to Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, he offered 70 million euros and various bonuses.

But unsurprisingly, that wasn’t enough for Tottenham and so they gratefully declined. However, with Kane only under contract for a year, he could easily come under pressure. It’s only June, the transfer window is still a while away. It depends how hard Bayern push. There’s nowhere to go.

At least in the German league, he’ll be fighting for the title for sure. With ambitions to win the Champions League, which he always has, but it’s not a complete necessity, he can wait another year.
