Friday night will offer a preview of the 22nd round of Serie A. A struggling AC Milan will welcome FC Torino to the San Siro with the clear goal of beating them and returning to the Top 4. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?
AC Milan are experiencing one of their worst seasons in the last two years. Through all competitions, it has been waiting for a win for seven matches. It has dropped down to sixth place in the table, but due to the level playing field, it is only two points behind third-placed AS Roma.
FC Torino, on the other hand, have two wins and a draw in the last three league rounds, which has put them in the top half of the table. It is even already seventh, but only a point ahead of ninth-placed Bologna and four points above 12th-placed Empoli.
AC’s key figures
The home side rely on winger Rafael Leão, the Portuguese international has scored nine times and assisted nine times. Experienced Frenchman and penalty-killer Olivier Giroud scored ten goals and assisted six.
Turin’s key figures
Russian international Alexei Miranchuk is dragging the visitors, the offensive midfielder has opened the net four times and assisted three times. Croatian midfielder Nikola Vlasic, on loan from West Ham, has scored four goals and assisted on four so far.
What to expect and what to bet on?
Despite their deteriorating form, AC still have the fourth best attack in the competition, scoring 37 goals in 21 rounds. It is firing at home, striking more than once in four of its last six home games.
Turin, on the other hand, have the worst offensive record of the teams in the first half of the table with 22 goals scored. It has scored more than one goal in only two of the last 13 games, twice coming up completely empty.
Considering AC’s home strength, the chemistry of the Giroud, Leao pairing o given the poor productivity of the visitors, I think the favorite will get all three points at their temple.
