Qualifying group? We know Iceland very well, Danish players are at the highest European level, said Suchopárek

The Czech U21 national football team knows its opponents for the upcoming qualification for the 2025 European Championship, which starts in the autumn. Coach Jan Suchopárek’s selection is in a group of five, which looks very balanced at first glance.
The Czechs avoided the giants and got Denmark, one of the weaker teams, out of the first basket. However, from the third strong Iceland, who were struggling in the barrage and thanks to the excellent Matěj Kovář we finally kept the home draw.
The fourth basket sent Wales to our group, then Lithuania to the fifth. As we are in Group I, we have no fifth opponent.
“It’s a balanced group that doesn’t quite have an outright favourite. I think it’s going to be very interesting matches both away and at home.
Now it is difficult to predict the current form of the teams at the start of the qualification, but I expect mainly evenly matched matches,” said coach Suchopárek after the draw.
Advancing from this group is certainly not a given, as the group winners and the top three teams in second place will advance directly. The six other teams will then face an unpredictable barrage.
“At first glance, Denmark may not be the top team. But theyalready played very well in the last qualification, they have a very high quality with excellent players who are at the highest European level,” the coach added.
Iceland is already very familiar to us. So the Czechs can win their group, but Wales, who are no longer a cut above the rest, can also threaten. Every point will be needed in the upcoming qualification.
