Why did Arsenal significantly boost their title chances by bringing in Leandro Trossard and what did Mykhailo Mudryk show on his Chelsea debut? We’ll answer that today. Welcome to a new weekly column in which I’ll be breaking down the Premier League trivia that is being discussed among English football fans.

Arsenal are looking forward to the two-footed

Arsenal have strengthened where they needed it – in attack. In January, only young Marquinhos was often snowballed into the offense by the bench, Trossard solves the problem as he will play anywhere in the offense.

And in the case of the Belgian international, that’s not really a platitude. In fact, Trossard can finish with his right foot just as deftly as he can with his left. It’s his greatest asset. In an interview after his transfer to Arsenal, he mentioned that he probably has a slightly better right foot, but that he doesn’t think about it when he plays.

Interesting Mudryk, but he’s on his own

The big topic of the weekend was the debut of the man who was supposed to strengthen Arsenal in place of Trossard. The Ukrainian Mudryk and his debut interested the world more than the actual confrontation of struggling Liverpool and Chelsea.

And if anyone entertained in the ninety minutes of misery, it was Mudryk. He was creating, he was inventing, he wasn’t afraid of one-on-one battles, it’s just that no one was helping him. And that’s how it will continue to be, because Chelsea are not at ease and have no striker to clash with.

Zinchenko – transfer of the season?

Probably everyone would have been knocking their heads before the season, after all Oleksandar Zinchenko was more of a bench reinforcement even according to Gunners fans. But he has sat favourite Kieran Tierney down with his excellent performances and is keeping Arsenal in first place with his leadership and reading of the game.

The last two big wins over Tottenham and Manchester United go mainly to him as he was simply everywhere on the pitch. An analysis of his play would take several paragraphs, anyway it is essential to mention his anticipation of what the opposition will do with the ball. It makes your head spin.
