Disgusting behaviour of Atlético fans. Before the derby, they hanged a figure of Vinícius on the bridge
Sometimes fan rivalry goes too far and it has nothing to do with sport after that. This is what has happened now in the case of Real Madrid star, Vinicius Junior, who is being attacked by Atlético Madrid fans.

It is no secret that the rivalry between Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid is huge. At the same time, it is no secret that there is much more hatred from the red and white side towards Los Blancos.
The Colchoneros have historically been the smaller, poorer club that the lower classes have cheered for, while the royal club has always been cheered by the more genteel part of society.
In a way, envy plays a part in this, the hatred of the younger for the older, the poorer for the richer… For Real Madrid, Atlético is more of a pain in the ass than a hated rival, and this is reflected in the number of matches between them, of which Real have won 151, Atleti only 71.
So it is somewhat understandable that the Rojiblancos hate Real to death. However, some moves are really beyond the edge of sporting rivalry. Vinícius in particular has faced a lot of hatred from the opposing stands in recent days.
Ahead of Thursday’s Copa del Rey quarter-final, in which El Derbi Madrileño will be played, the Indios have made a bad showing. They hung a figure with a Vinícius jersey on the bridge and added the words “Madrid hates Real”.
Atlético Madrid were quick to condemn this act by their fans and issued an official statement. “These are disgusting and unacceptable acts that bring shame to society,” the statement said. “We unequivocally and unreservedly condemn any act that attacks the dignity of individuals or institutions,” the red and white club added.
Real Madrid also issued an official statement in defence of its player. In addition, fans at the Santiago Bernabéu are planning to support the young Brazilian in person, with a standing ovation expected to start in the 20th minute (jersey number).
