Everton want Rooney as coach. Will England’s top scorer come to the rescue of the club of his heart?

The club is now quickly looking for a new coach who can save the traditional English side. Will Wayne Rooney, who has already turned down the Toffees once, answer their prayers?

Rooney was born and raised in Liverpool, but chose the blue jersey of Everton as the club of his heart, where he worked his way up from the youth teams to the Premier League before being brought in by Manchester United for €37 million in the summer of 2004, where he spent the next 13 years before returning home again for a year.

He then made one more MLS appearance for the D’s at the end of his career. C. United, which he currently coaches, and Derby, where he ended his active playing career two years ago and began coaching.

It was during his time at Derby that Everton were interested in Rooney, only for the former outstanding striker to turn down his club. “I didn’t accept the offer. I believe I’m going to be a coach in the Premier League and I’m 100% ready for it, but I have a job at Derby that is very important to me,” he said at the time.

Neal Maupay has also been completely ineffective, scoring once against West Ham, but hasn’t scored any other goals. However, you can’t blame only the strikers when the whole team is failing.

The Manchester United legend did very well in Derby, but still didn’t save the club, which was expected. When you start with -21 points, it’s not easy to save yourself. But Rooney’s players were only 7 points short of that.
