Provocation? I need to see Arsenal win the Premier League. Mudryk didn’t pick the perfect song in his farewell video
Arsenal were interested in buying, Shakhtar Donetsk were interested in selling, Mykhailo Mudryk made no secret of his sympathy for the Gunners, yet he ended up at Chelsea. The latter simply offered more, which Mudryk may regret. At least the lyrics of the song he is using to say goodbye to Shakhtar are a sign of that.

Arsenal became interested in Mudryk during the autumn. After the World Cup, it seemed that a deal was only a matter of time. Mikel Arteta confirmed his interest, Mudryk bragged on Instagram about watching the Gunners game.
But the financial departments of Shakhtar Donetsk and Arsenal could not agree for a long time. So Chelsea came into the picture, to whose offer of 100 million euros for a player from the Ukrainian league the Gunners could not respond.
Mudryk said goodbye to his former club, thanks to which he also made it to the senior national team, with a video posted on Instagram, in which he summed up his actions and goals in the yellow and black jersey.
Except he didn’t give the background song much thought. “Still gotta see the Gunners win the Premier League”, loosely translated as “I still gotta see the Gunners win the Premier League”.
It’s not exactly a fitting sentence for a video of a player transferring to Chelsea. Anyway, considering the amount the Blues have spent, Mudryk comes in as a big star who immediately fills into the starting lineup in big absences.
That wouldn’t happen at Arsenal. On the other hand, that doesn’t mean the Gunners don’t need a winger or striker. On the contrary, in the post-Christmas games of Mikel Arteta’s charges, the only offensive player sitting on the bench was mostly the youngster Marquinhos.
