Every year new youngsters come up who are ready to shine at the highest level. Some are already there, like Bellingham, Musiala or Pedri, but others are waiting to make the leap to the elite. Who is it going to be in 2023?

Joško Gvardiol – Leipzig

the 20-year-old stopper has a tough year ahead of him. At the World Cup in Qatar he was the best stopper of the championship and attracted the interest of all the big clubs.

Leipzig value him at €100 million and Gvardiol can choose – Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City or perhaps PSG?

Karim Adeyemi – Dortmund

Adeyemi is already at a quality club, but a bigger breakthrough amongst football’s very elite is yet to come. He went to the World Cup in Qatar with Germany but didn’t play.

He hasn’t scored a goal in the Bundesliga so far this year, but once he unlocks his potential, he could become one of the best strikers.

Florian Wirtz – Bayer Leverkusen

the 19-year-old midfielder had a great 10+14 record last season, despite being sidelined by a serious knee injury in mid-March and thus not starting again until the end of 2022.

Now, however, his recovery is slowly coming along, he has already started two friendlies in December and even scored a goal.

Mathys Tel – Bayern Munich

He came to Bayern in the summer with the potential to replace Lewandowski. The 17-year-old French talent started seven Bundesliga games and scored three times, also hitting the cup.

He should be more and more involved in the starting line-up in 2023.

Yeremy Pino – Villarreal

a 20-year-old Villarreal winger who boasts lightning speed. He has already been part of the Spanish national team at the World Cup in Qatar.

With a value of €36 million, he has some big clubs spinning for him. Who will get Pino?
