A new crown for a new chapter in Valentino Rossi’s career

Pirelli had a special helmet made depicting the wishes and messages of Rossi’s army of fans to mark the start of his new career in GT racing. This time in two tracks. Pirelli Motorsport Director Mario Isola presented Rossi with the helmet, designed by designer David Degli Innocenti and manufactured by Bell, during the recent GT World Challenge race at Misano.
Fans from around the world sent messages via Pirelli’s social media channels to welcome motorcycling legend Valentino Rossi to the GT World Challenge championship – exclusively hosted by Pirelli.
They wrote about their undying support and love for motorsport and their gratitude for the extremely emotional experiences the “Doctor” has given them during his motorcycle career. And now he continues to do so in motorsport.
Pirelli has activated fans from all over the world
Pirelli’s campaign kicked off on Rossi’s debut in April 2022 at the GT World Challenge championship in Imola. Thousands of fans responded to a campaign posted by Pirelli on social media to help create a tribute full of love and emotion for “The Doctor”, welcoming his next chapter in motorsport.
In an incredible show of affection, Pirelli managed to engage with his worldwide community of fans.
With an avalanche of messages wishing Rossi happiness and success, thousands of fans welcomed him back to the racing world in less than two months.
the 50 most emotional messages on social media, which accurately capture what Rossi means to people, became part of a special helmet design that Pirelli commissioned from renowned Italian designer David Degli Innocenti in Riccione.
The Bell helmet was presented to Rossi in Misano, where the sixth round of the GT World Challenge championship was held under the auspices of SRO at the end of June and the beginning of July, which is also the second round on Italian soil.
“Valentino is a motorsport legend, just like Pirelli, so we wanted to give him a special welcome to a new stage in his career. The next round of the GT Championship at Misano was exactly the right place to pay tribute to him, a tribute that fans around the world are paying him,” said Pirelli Motorsport Division Director Mario Isola.
Among the most impressive messages adorning his new helmet are those that describe not only how people feel about “The Doctor” but also about motorsport in general. “Thank you, Valentino, for bringing such passion and enthusiasm for motorsport into the lives of my whole family.”
