The new season is fast approaching, with teams gradually revealing the look of their 2022 monoblocs. McLaren and Alpha Tauri were the latest to show off a new car – the colour combinations, it has to be said, are really cool.
Haas was the first team to unveil the shape of their 2022 monopost, but the colour combination hasn’t changed much from last year’s.
The same can be said about Red Bull, which we wrote about here. Something wonderful, however, was created at the Aston Martin factory, which owned the tenth of February. The new car looks simply beautiful.
On the eleventh of February, McLaren joined these aforementioned stables, betting on the feedback of its fans. So Woking added a light blue colour to the orange, which looks really beautiful on the new formula.
Of course, the team also believes that the MCL36 will once again be a slightly more competitive car and will be more likely to fight for podiums as well as race wins. Daniel Ricciardo, after all, won once last year, specifically at Monza in Italy.
McLaren even scored a double in the race, with Lando Norris accompanying Ricciardo to the finish line in second place, the only double fans got to see in 2021.
For the very last time, the new car was presented by the Alpha Tauri team, which chose a very unconventional, but all the more interesting presentation.
However, in the above post, the team only offers a look at the concept version, which is closely associated with the Alpha Tauri fashion brand. We will probably see the real car only in the pre-season tests in Barcelona. These are scheduled to take place from 23 to 25 February.
Today, on February 15, the new car is due to be presented by Williams Racing, which has recently signed a new sponsor – Duracell. It is also very likely that the new partner will have a say in the colour combination for next season.
17. ferrari and Mercedes will showcase their new formula cars on February 18 and 18, while Alpine will unveil its car on February 21. Last of all, Alfa Romeo will unveil its formula.
