On Saturday morning we will have two quarterfinal matches of the tennis tournament in Washington. One of them will be between Harris and Nishikori. Who will be happy to advance?

Lloyd George Harris is a 24-year-old tennis player originally from South Africa. He is currently ranked 50th on the ATP rankings, which is also his career high.

Harris has won three Challengers so far and all of them were on the hard surface, which is also played in Washington. After defeating Tennys Sandgren, he also took on Rafael Nadal here, which was a win of a lifetime for him.

His opponent on Saturday will be Kei Nishikori. The thirty-one year old tennis player from Japan has been plagued by frequent injuries recently, which forced him to leave the elite ten. He is currently ranked 67th.

Since the Olympics, however, he has started to thrive again. In Tokyo, he defeated Rublev, Giron and Ivashka, falling short of Novak Djokovic. He beat Querrey, Bublik and Norrie at the Citi Open, an ATP 500 tournament.

So what to bet on? It should be a very even match with no clear favourite. The players have so far met only in Dubai, where Harris was able to win after 6::1, 3::6 and 6::3.

I expect the Cape Town native to win at least one set. He can rely on a very good serve, as evidenced by his sixteen aces against Rafael Nadal.
