If he was in an awkward situation before UFC 289, it’s hard to describe the present. David Dvorak unfortunately lost his third straight fight and has to chew defeat to debutant Stephen Erceg. After the fight, the Czech fighter admitted his disappointment.

David Dvorak was an unquestioned top ten UFC flyweight just yesterday. Had his opponent Matt Schnell not got injured, he could have fought to get closer to the top five. But that’s just a “if.”

Dvorak does not hide his disappointment

“It’s hard to put into words how sorry I am about my next sporting setback. I apologize to everyone I let down. I sacrificed absolutely everything for this match, I was prepared the best in my career, we had the best camp, I didn’t underestimate a single detail in my preparation,” he expressed on social media.

“I worked like a horse and was committed to my dream. Unfortunately, despite everything I gave it, it was not enough and the opponent was better. Today I’m down but I still believe in what I’m doing. I believe in my dreams implicitly. I will keep working, improve no matter what it takes and get back on the winning streak,” he added.
