While Kylian Mbappé is currently focused on the World Cup, where he will be looking to defend his 2018 title with France, his future is still being discussed. According to the world media, he could leave Paris as early as January.
PSG failed to meet their goals last season and even the presence of Lionel Messi did not help the team to win the Champions League. But this season is set to be different with everything.
The Parisian outfit literally bribed Kylian Mbappé to still stay at the club, believing that if it didn’t work out last season, it must work out in the current one. After all, the great form of Messi, Neymar and Mbappé all point to that.
But there is a catch. Mbappé is being criticised for his behaviour, according to many experts he has started to think he is more than the club. PSG, however, are not accommodating him in every way. So the question of whether he has a future at the French club has once again begun to be discussed.
Foreign media are already speculating about his winter departure. This could be a huge problem for PSG, which would of course disrupt their plans to win the Champions League.
The news, however, is the leader who is reportedly leading the fight for Mbappé. In the summer, it was Real Madrid, and in recent weeks the clubs have alternated in the so-called “field position”. Spanish newspaper Sport now claims that Manchester United is leading the race.
The Red Devils are looking for a coveted striker and are without doubt the club that will be able to afford Mbappé in every way. Moreover, it would be a great move marketing-wise as well, which could minimize the losses from Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
However, it begs the question as to how much of a good buy this would be sportingly. Mbappé is a great footballer, however, the potential star manners might not pay off again. As is the case now with Ronaldo.
Apart from Manchester United, Liverpool are also keen on the arrival of Mbappé. Real Madrid also reportedly remain in the game.
