Barcelona? I like Paris much better. Today I enjoy everything, including football, said Messi

Lionel Messi is in his second season at PSG. One of the best footballers in history surprisingly left his Barcelona in the summer of 2021 and his contract ends next summer. The Argentine has now outlined his future and has not exactly pleased Catalan fans.
Lionel Messi prepares for Argentina’s first game at the World Cup. One of the tournament favourites will start the tournament on Wednesday against Saudi Arabia.
However, Messi will soon have to address his future as well. He is currently under contract at PSG, but only until the summer of 2023. The public is therefore debating whether he will extend it.
Barcelona fans believe that he will return back home, where he left last summer. Messi, however, has outlined that he has become accustomed to France.
“We are in a new environment. We had our life in Barcelona, our friends, our habits and we were in a different place, with a different language, a different type of football, a different climate. It was difficult, but today I enjoy everything, including football,” Messi said in an interview with Marca.
“I like Paris much more, I’m exploring the city and I find it beautiful,” he added. That will not please Catalan fans. According to his statement, it seems he intends to stay if the club allows him to.
“After this long period and some difficult moments, I am happy to live where I live and my family and I are enjoying Paris,” the Argentine forward concluded.
Messi’s current goal, however, is clearly success at the World Cup. Although he has already won the Copa América tournament with Argentina last year, the World Cup is much more prestigious.
