Marcelo will probably get fired. Olympiakos is not satisfied with his condition and weight

Star defender Marcelo was welcomed by around 25,000 Olympiakos Piraeus fans at the beginning of September. The management of the Greek club expected Marcelo to bring experience and quality to the team, but that hasn’t happened yet. The Greek big club is considering terminating the cooperation due to the poor condition and overweight of the experienced fighter.

Brazilian defender Marcelo spent over fifteen years at Real Madrid and contributed to five Champions League triumphs.

His arrival at Olympiakos was an absolute bombshell for the club’s management and fans. We can talk about one of the biggest transfers in the club’s history.

But unfortunately the arrival of Marcelo will most likely become a big flop. The experienced defender has only started five competitive games and is unlikely to add any more.

Coach Míchel is not happy with the player’s fitness and weight. Even the fans have run out of patience with the club’s biggest star. Olympiacos management is ready to negotiate and will want to get rid of Marcelo in the January transfer window.

Even so, Marcelo need not be sad, as interested parties are starting to apply for his services. In particular, Turkish big clubs Galatasaray and Besiktas, Spanish Getafe and American Los Angeles.
