Real Madrid put in one of the worst performances of the season, if not the worst. It was the first loss of the season and it has to be said that it was completely deserved, Rayo Vallecano were better all game. The fans were at least entertained by Valverde, who gifted the spectators in the balcony with a match ball.

The World Cup in Qatar is fast approaching and it shows. Real Madrid have had two losses in their last two La Liga games, with an appalling performance against Rayo Vallecano in particular.
