Real Madrid have repeatedly tried to find Hazard a club. But no one wants him
Eden Hazard’s situation is getting worse and sadder by the day. He doesn’t play at all at Real Madrid, when he comes on for a few minutes his performances are bad and there is no way out. No club wants him.
Eden Hazard’s situation is getting worse and sadder by the day. He doesn’t play at all at Real Madrid, when he comes on for a few minutes his performances are bad and there is no way out. No club wants him.
In Tuesday’s game, Hazard finally got minutes. After three games on the bench in the absence of Benzema, Valverde or Modric, he got 14 minutes on the pitch against Leipzig.
But that doesn’t change his position in the team. For Carlo Ancelotti, he is only the last winger in the hierarchy, with Vinícius, Valverde, Rodrygo and Asensio taking precedence.
In particular, Hazard’s natural position on the left wing is completely closed at the moment. Here, in fact, is the untouchable Vinícius Junior, who is playing in the form of his life. Ancelotti practically does not substitute him and he has accumulated the most minutes in the whole squad this season.
He doesn’t feel comfortable on the right wing or as a false nine, and the performances match that. Hazard is thus a useless and expensive liability for Real at the moment. He has played only 229 minutes this season and is thus only the 18th most capped player for Los Blancos.
This is the third consecutive transfer window that Real Madrid have struggled to find a club for Hazard. But there’s one big problem: nobody wants the 31-year-old. With this information came the trusted journalist Mario Cortegana from the newspaper MARCA.
In addition to the decline in performance, there is another problem, Hazard’s salary. The Belgian is in fact Real’s highest paid player and not many clubs can afford his salary.
So the offices in Valdebebas have their eyes on the World Cup in Qatar. Belgium coach Roberto Martínez still trusts him and Hazard remains captain in the Red Devils’ starting line-up.
If he performs at the championship, there is a chance that someone will take Hazard after all. If not, Real Madrid will have to pay him a salary until June 2024.
