Is Kinc’s move to the UFC in the works? Some small talks and feelers are lightly underway, he admitted

Patrik Kincl is the reigning Octagon welterweight champion and will defend his title against Karlos Vémol at the end of the year. However, the fighter himself admitted that negotiations with the UFC are ongoing and quite possibly his transfer is on the way.

Octagon has come up with another episode of Face to Face, which now features Patrik Kincl and Karlos Vemola. For in two months, they’re set to face one of the biggest fights in the history of the domestic scene.

The interview also touched on the UFC, which Kincl could have fought in the past, but he didn’t accept a short notice fight with Neil Magny as it didn’t seem like a good idea at the time.

“For me it was a personal fight. Even though as a fighter I believe I’m going into the fight to win, short notice with the upset of Magny would have been purely about signing a contract and then God’s will be done. Sure, the UFC has been a dream for a long time, but this (Vemola) took precedence for me,” Kincl said.

Of course, the situation may be similar now. Kincl has been putting on good performances lately, and there’s definitely a chance the organization will approach him. What did he say on the subject?

“Like this, some small negotiations and feelers are lightly underway, so hopefully you won’t freeze that smile maybe in early December,” he replied to Ondrej Novotny, who moderated Face to Face.

It is quite possible that next year we will see the announcement of his departure to the most prestigious organization. First, however, will come the rematch with Vemola, which he definitely won’t want to lose, even for the sake of the UFC.
