Sevilla vs Copenhagen: Preview and betting tips

On Tuesday, Sevilla and Copenhagen are scheduled to play alongside RB Leipzig against Real Madrid and Dortmund against Manchester City. What to expect from the direct battle for promotion and what to bet on?

Sevilla’s season has not been going as expected so far. They are just a point away from the relegation zone in La Liga and two points adrift in the Champions League in third place. On the other hand, it has lost only one of its last five games, against Real Madrid.

Copenhagen are not doing well either. As last year’s Danish league champion, they have struggled so far this season. It is only eighth in the table and is already ten points behind first place. The current form is terrible, Copenhagen is without a win for seven games.

Oliver Torres is one of the few players who has been successful for the home team, the Spanish midfielder has already scored three times. The experienced Erik Lamela has also scored three goals, while the main offensive threat Youssef En-Nesyri is struggling.

Visiting Viktor Claesson is having an excellent year, the Swedish national winger has scored eight times and assisted three times. In the midfield, the experienced Lukas Lerager has been on a roll, scoring two goals so far.

Sevilla may be floundering in attack, but the defence is holding up just like last year. Despite the departure of two key stoppers, it has scored no more than once in four of its last five games.

Moreover, Copenhagen’s record is truly appalling. It has not scored more than one goal in any of its last fourteen games, and has only scored nine times.

Considering the shooting woes of both teams and Sevilla’s well-functioning defence, I think the home side will win and score a maximum of four goals.
