Group A
Napoli continued to surprise the whole of Europe, winning their fourth match and securing progression. Ajax were beaten 4-2 at home. Liverpool were trailing in Glasgow, but eventually beat Rangers 7-1 thanks to Mohamed Salah’s hat-trick within five minutes.
The table is still nicely sorted. Napoli are first with 100 points, Liverpool are on nine points, Ajax have three so far and Rangers are on zero with a terrible score of 1::16. They are even worse off than Plzen.
Group B
In the B group, Brugge completed their fairytale with a goalless draw at Atletico Madrid kept out by goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. Porto robbed the Bayer Arena with a 3:0 win, Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek were also there.
Brugge are now certain to qualify for the eight-finals, Porto are second with six points, Atletico and Leverkusen will face each other in two weeks, both are on three points.
Group C
In Group C, Plzen fell 2:4 at home to Bayern after a decent performance, while Inter drew 3:3 in a shootout at Camp Nou. Barcelona are on four points, Plzen on zero.
Group D
Tottenham lead the D group for the first time this season, beating Frankfurt 3-2 at home. A point behind are Marseille and Sporting, whose confrontation ended 2:0 for the French. Frankfurt are three points behind the top spot.
