Wolfsburg and AS Rome! Slavs know their opponents in the Champions League group

The group stage of the Women’s Champions League has only been played since last season, and last year the Slavs failed to qualify when they were eliminated by Arsenal. This year, however, they have already overcome the pitfalls of the preliminary round and will face Wolfsburg, St. Pölten and AS Rome in the group stage.

The seeding in the four performance baskets promised that one of the big giants of women’s football – Lyon, Barcelona, Wolfsburg or Chelsea – would be looking at Eden in the autumn.

Slavia was placed in the second basket along with PSG, Bayern Munich and Arsenal thanks to their successful previous seasons. The third basket offered Rosengärd, Juventus, Real Madrid and St. Pölten, while FC Zurich, KFF Vllaznia, Benfica Lisbon and AS Roma lurked in the fourth basket.

Karel Piták’s charges in Nyon were awarded the first basket from Germany’s Wolfsburg, the third from Austria’s St. Pölten and the fourth from Italy’s AS Rome.

The first game day is scheduled for 19/20 October and will be played from 18:45 or 21:00. Each UWCL match will be streamed in multiple languages on DAZN’s YouTube channel, with the Champions League final then being played on June 3/4 in Eindhoven.
