RB Salzburg vs. Dinamo Zagreb: Preview and betting tips
Salzburg have an important match on Wednesday in their fight to qualify from the Champions League group. Given the balanced table, they can jump to first place if they win, but they will be up against a tough Dinamo Zagreb.
RB Salzburg have an important match on Wednesday in their fight to qualify from the Champions League group. Given the balanced table, they can jump to first place if they win, but they will be up against a tough Dinamo Zagreb.
Salzburg made a good start to the season. In the domestic competition they are first after ten rounds with only one loss by two points, in the Champions League they have drawn twice with the favourites. First at home against AC Milan, then against Chelsea.
Dinamo are off the hook. After eleven rounds in the league they have ten wins and one draw, and they are eleven points ahead of second-placed Hajduk Split. They have three points in the Millionaire’s Cup after a home win over Chelsea.
Benjamin Šeško is the star of the home team, the stocky Slovenian striker has scored five goals and assisted twice, and he also swept the crossbar twice during the national break in September. Swiss forward Noah Okafor scored seven times and added two assists.
On the away side, Croatia’s winger and national player Mislav Orsic, scorer of ten goals and six assists, cannot be forgotten. Point forward Bruno Petkovic scored seven times and assisted three times.
Salzburg dominate the Austrian Bundesliga, but have won only one of their last five matches across all competitions. In the other four, it took a point for a draw.
Dinamo, on the other hand, have won nine of their last ten games, scalping the likes of Bodo Glimt and Chelsea.
Despite the current form playing for the visitors, I expect Salzburg to take the game and win thanks to the home environment and individual quality in attack.
