The Belgian international spoke about his current situation at Real Madrid. Eden Hazard is having a tough time at the Spanish club as he is not getting much minutes from his coach. Hazard is understandably not happy with that.
Although Real Madrid have played six games in La Liga, Eden Hazard has only featured in three of them. The Belgian international is currently not getting the minutes he needs from coach Carlo Ancelotti, which is reflected in his satisfaction.
Hazard also expressed this in an interview he gave to Spanish newspaper Marca. “I’m having a hard time at Real Madrid because I want to play regularly but I’m not getting the chance,” he said about his low minutes.
But Hazard believes he deserves more space from Ancelotti. “When I’m on the pitch, I play well. It’s a difficult situation because I want to play more. I know what I can do when I get space,” the Real Madrid winger added.
So far, it doesn’t look like anything will change in Hazard’s position at Real. The team is doing very well, winning all six league games and is also 100 percent in the Champions League. Hazard, however, has not had much to do with this successful start to the season.
Eden Hazard must have envisioned his involvement with Real Madrid differently. He went to Spain as one of the best footballers in the world and was supposed to fully replace Cristiano Ronaldo. However, due to injury and loss of playing experience, he didn’t play many minutes.
Now, although Hazard is healthy, other younger players have come through. He doesn’t get much space now and when he does, it’s only for the final minutes. Proof of this is that Hazard is one of the five players who have played the least minutes for Real this season.
